We are seeking to recruit a new director to lead our Governance and Assurance department. This is a key role that has an broad and exciting remit including leadership over key functions including Risk Management, Governance, Operational Resilience (Business continuity and Incident Response), Information Security and Compliance, Insurance Services and our Academic Quality Assurance provision.
Reporting directly to the newly appointed Chief Governance and Risk Officer, the successful candidate will be given the direct responsibility to ensure that they departments are offering effective and efficient support services to the University.
The Director of Governance and Assurance will be key in setting up the processes that support the effective governance of the university including ensuring that the services and inputs to the key university governance committees including the University Executive Board, Audit and Risk Committee and Council are working effectively and efficiently to ensure effective governance.
You will be experienced in developing and delivering a wide range of governance and risk management related services across a large Higher Education institution with a passion for driving effective and efficient processes. You will also be experienced in developing effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels, as well as leading a diverse range of governance related functions.
