An NHS hospital trust in Norwich seeks a strategic finance leader to oversee financial performance and provide expert financial advice. The ideal candidate will hold a CCAB qualification, have experience in financially challenged environments, and be able to translate strategic priorities into financial goals. Reporting to the Executive Managing Director, and with professional accountability to Marcus Thorman - Group Chief Financial Officer & Deputy CEO, you will hold responsibility for the overall financial performance of the Trust and provide expert financial advice to both the site-based leadership team and the wider Group leadership team. As a key member of the Hospital Management Board, you will play a central role in shaping the Trust's future success, setting financial plans and strategy at site level in alignment with Group objectives. A key challenge for our Group and for NNUH is delivering financial sustainability. The Trust has a balanced plan for 2025/26, but with an underlying deficit of £10m in the Trust of over £50m in the Group, with the Group in receipt of £44m of deficit support funding in 2025/26. Key to our progress is transformation both within the Trust and across the Group. We have stabilised our expenditure and are working with clinical and operational colleagues to improve productivity, which is also addressing waiting times in elective and cancer care. At the NNUH you will be working with an engaged Executive Managing Director who understands and is responsive to the challenges faced.
