As the Director, you will lead with strength, visibility, and engagement across Finance, Procurement, Corporate Governance, Communications, and Planning/Performance Management, ensuring high professional standards. Your support and motivation will help build high-performing teams.

You will support the Chief Executive as the Accountable Officer, ensuring a robust financial strategy aligned with the organisation’s strategic objectives for the short, medium, and long term.

You will oversee effective corporate governance, support the Chair and Board, and manage risk. Additionally, you will lead planning and performance management and provide executive-level leadership for communications.

Candidates must hold a degree or equivalent, be a fully qualified Accountant with CCAB membership, and have significant post-qualification experience.

You will balance daily objectives with shaping the future strategy of HIS. Personal resilience, commercial acumen, and a commitment to innovation are essential to ensure the organisation's future readiness.

A natural team player, you will collaborate with the Executive Team to improve health and social care, and build alliances with stakeholders such as NHS Directors of Finance and Planning, and senior Scottish Government staff.
