Job summary

The Twenty Two London is a private members club and luxury hotel in Mayfair. We are seeking a Director of Engineering who leads from the front, setting the engineering strategy, diagnosing faults on the BMS, and developing a high-performing team that takes pride in the property and guest experience.

You will oversee maintenance across the hotel and club, manage budgets, coordinate with security, IT and external contractors, and ensure safety, compliance and continuity of operations 24/7.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading engineering teams in luxury environments.
• Recognised trade/engineering qualification and relevant safety certifications.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, BMS, fire and life safety systems and UK compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver an engineering strategy focused on safety and sustainability.
• Prepare and manage the engineering budget with the General Manager and Finance.
• Lead maintenance across the hotel and club, oversee contractors and RAMS.
• Manage IT, telecom and AV infrastructure, asset inventory and stock.
• Ensure statutory testing/inspections are completed and recorded.
• Lead and develop the engineering team with regular reviews and development plans.
