J.P. Morgan Personal Investing is expanding its Investment Platform and seeks a Director of Engineering to lead multiple high-impact engineering teams. You will drive the product roadmap, shape technical strategy, mentor managers and engineers, and deliver scalable, secure systems across fintech workloads.

You will collaborate with Product, Risk, Compliance and Business stakeholders, foster platform thinking, and oversee architecture, costs, and vendor relationships.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer and 10+ years in technical leadership.
• Strong product and business mindset with experience in consumer-focused products.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Expertise in distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, SDLC, and DevOps.
• Proven track record leading agile teams delivering high-availability systems.
• Experience designing adoption of AI-enabled development practices with governance.
• Understanding of responsible AI, security, resiliency, and risk governance.

Responsabilidades

• Partner with Product to define and drive the strategy across multiple time horizons.
• Translate strategy into requirements and ensure on-time execution of product features.
• Enable cross-functional alignment within several JPM PI teams through efficient processes and roadmaps.
• Oversee architectural decisions for scalability, reliability, performance and cost efficiency.
• Promote platform thinking, reuse, and best practices while managing technical debt.
• Oversee engineering costs and vendor management with ROI and SLAs.
• Hire, develop and retain top engineering talent with autonomy and clarity.
• Mentor engineering managers and senior ICs, providing career pathways and feedback.
• Foster collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across teams.
• Own incident management, on-call strategy and post-incident reviews.
• Partner with Risk, Compliance and Controls for audits and regulatory delivery.
• Architect and govern AI-enabled engineering workflows with guardrails for validation and security.
