The Role

Were looking for a handson thoughtful engineering leader to lead our Core Services Platform Infrastructure and Developer Experience teams. These teams are foundational to how engineering happens at Multiversethey build the systems and tools that underpin our product architecture and they shape how all engineers build ship and operate software.

Were not looking for a topdown operator. Youll be working closely with other engineering leaders product managers and technical ICs to evolve our platform and engineering culture while supporting teams to do their best work. This is a strategic role with high impactbut its also grounded in collaboration technical leadership and realworld delivery.

Were betting big on developer experience and AInative tooling as force multipliers for the whole company. Youll play a key role in setting direction and helping teams adopt these tools in a way thats pragmatic humancentered and highleverage.

What Youll Do

• Lead and support multiple teams across platform engineering internal tools DevEx and core services.
  

• Partner with engineers product teams and security to ensure our foundation is reliable scalable and empoweringnot restrictive
  

• Drive the evolution of our internal platform from service templates to paved paths to generative tooling. Guide our infrastructure as code strategy
  

• Expand our use of AInative tools (e.g. copilots intelligent observability autoremediation test generation) to make teams more effective
  

• Drive the evolution of our infrastructurecloudnative secure by default observable and easy to reason about.
  

• Improve how engineers at Multiverse build test and ship codeensuring fast feedback loops lowfriction tooling and clear quality standards.
  

• Help us build and maintain systems that are easy to operate and resilient by design.
  

• Foster an inclusive growthoriented culture that values impact over perfection and gives engineers space to thrive.
  

• Actively mentor and grow other engineering leaders

What You Bring

• Experience leading platform or infrastructure teams in a scaling tech company with a strong understanding of backend services cloud systems and DevEx.
  

• A track record of improving developer experience and building systems that reduce toil and increase leverage.
  

• A deep interest in how AI can augment engineering workflowsand experience helping teams adopt these tools thoughtfully and sustainably.
  

• Comfort working in and evolving serviceoriented/event driven architectures and a solid grounding in modern infrastructure practices (e.g. AWS Kubernetes Terraform CI/CD pipelines observability).
  

• Strong collaboration and communication skills. You can connect across disciplines and levels and lead with empathy and clarity.
  

• Experience managing managers

• Familiarity with developer platforms that support machine learning data or applied AI

• Experience with Backstage or other internal developer portals

• Exposure to platform support for ML/LLM workflows

• Comfort with evolving systems from monoliths to modular architecture
