Join Rhondda Cynon Taf Council, a progressive, high‑performing organisation serving a population of ~240,000 across the Rhondda, Cynon and Taf Ely valleys. As the Education & Inclusion Services Director, you will lead a Directorate responsible for a net revenue budget of circa £37 million, a three‑year capital programme of £72 million, and 1,276 non‑school staff. Your remit will cover delivery of all aspects of Education & Inclusion Services, supporting 111 schools, 4,594 school‑based staff, and a school budget of £212 million. You will oversee the Council’s substantial investment in modern school facilities since 2014 and be accountable for future capital programmes through 2033, with over £505 million already spent on Band A and Band B programmes and an additional £414 million funding package agreed in principle for new projects.
Lead the Education & Inclusion Services Directorate, managing budgets, capital programmes, and staff. Deliver strategic improvement initiatives, ensuring the County Borough moves forward by supporting people and communities, keeping them safe, healthy, and providing every opportunity to thrive. Work closely with elected Members, partners, and a Senior Leadership Team implement the Council’s improvement strategy and secure the long‑term success of the Council’s education services.
