Job summary

AECOM seeks a senior external-facing leader to establish and grow strategic relationships with the UK's Combined Authorities, Mayoral Authorities and devolved regional bodies. This market-shaping role translates regional ambitions into programmes, partnerships and opportunities.

The successful candidate will be a recognised industry figure with deep experience working with Combined Authorities, capable of bridging authority priorities with AECOM's capabilities to drive growth across England.

Qualifications

• Experience working with UK Combined Authorities and devolved public bodies.
• Well-networked at executive levels with credibility across sectors.
• Strong understanding of regional funding, governance and investment.
• Able to translate client challenges into opportunities for AECOM and clients.
• Proven track record growing revenues and pipeline in devolved authorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead engagement strategy across England's strategic authorities.
• Build relationships with Mayors, Chief Executives, and Directors.
• Provide insight into priorities, funding mechanisms and investment plans.
• Identify opportunities to support economic development, transport, housing and energy.
• Collaborate across authorities while balancing competing ambitions.
• Lead local teams to grow revenues and pipelines in devolved markets.
