Job overview

We seek an outstanding individual for the role of Director of Data and Analytics. The ideal candidate will possess substantial expertise in data and analytics, with strong leadership skills to drive transformation and change. Analytical skills, creativity, and insight are essential.

You will lead the strategic and operational management of our Business Information and Clinical Coding teams across all Trust sites, collaborating within the North West London Acute Provider Collaborative and the broader Integrated Care System. Your leadership will enable high-quality data-driven decision-making supporting strategic and operational performance.

You will be responsible for maintaining information standards and developing a responsive, insightful business intelligence service aligned with organizational goals. The role also includes data governance and analytics to inform service delivery.

Reporting to the Deputy Chief Operating Officer, you will shape and implement a transformation programme to modernize and align business intelligence with operational priorities, ensuring a proactive service embedded in operational delivery.

Main duties of the job
  • The Director will oversee the strategic and operational management of the Business Information and Clinical Coding teams across all sites, supporting the Trust’s performance.
  • This role involves active participation in system-wide and multidisciplinary collaborations among intelligence professionals including data analysts, clinical coders, data scientists, and qualitative researchers.
  • The intelligence functions will support strategic, clinical, and operational decisions at the director level.
  • You will be accountable for information standards and developing business intelligence to support delivery, governance, and data analysis.
  • You will report to the Deputy Chief Operating Officer and be responsible for delivering a transformation programme across business intelligence, aligning services with operational needs and ensuring excellence in information service delivery.
