Location: Hybrid working, travel to Head office 3/4 times a week - Must live North of Birmingham

About the Company

We are working with a leading Leisure-focused business that operates Hospitality & Leisure venues across the UK, featuring strong food concepts. They offer exceptional leisure experiences, and with the UK tourist industry booming, the company is in a strong growth phase. They are seeking a new Commercial Director to oversee ROI across their portfolio, manage risks, explore new commercial opportunities, and build partnerships and sponsorships. Leadership and coaching skills are essential, with a preference for candidates with a strong sales and marketing background.

Role: Director of Commercial

This pivotal role reports directly to the CEO, focusing on brand development and partnership growth. The Director will lead hiring efforts during this growth phase, manage onsite and offsite promotions, oversee marketing calendars, and handle partnership and concept launches. The executive team will include the CEO, CFO, and yourself, jointly responsible for strategic growth and success.

Responsibilities
  1. Strategic oversight of the operated business and affiliated brands
  2. End-to-end management of venue relaunches and openings
  3. Direct management of onsite operational teams and affiliated operations
  4. Oversight of core business activities
  5. Management of promotions for external partner businesses
  6. Responsibility for branding of new concepts created by the marketing team
  7. Coordination with delivery aggregator marketing plans
  8. Assistance with fundraising and board management alongside the CEO & CFO
  9. Contribute to overall company strategy
  10. Innovative thinker with ideas for company evolution and growth
  11. Analyze market research and data for business planning
  12. Be prepared to work hard, make swift decisions, and bring order to chaos
