About the Role:

This is a senior role within Capita’s Technical Operations Delivery team, reporting directly to the Managing Director of Technology Delivery. You will lead a team of Cloud professionals, develop cloud services with new technologies, and manage public cloud providers like Azure and AWS.

You will develop all Cloud Service offerings, optimize cloud usage, and shape strategic direction and cloud adoption. As Director, you will ensure the cloud business has a clear vision, strategy, and objectives, using data and reporting to drive improvements.

What You Will Be Doing

• Lead the Cloud business area, aligning with strategy and customer needs.
• Manage Cloud Services development, performance, and team succession planning.
• Collaborate with the Hosting Director for seamless cloud and on-premise management.
• Develop cost-effective delivery models following industry best practices.
• Generate management reports for stakeholders.
• Build effective relationships within the organization.
• Be accountable for financial performance.
• Act as the senior escalation point for Cloud Services.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and governance.

What We Are Looking For

• Deep understanding of Cloud technologies, especially Azure and AWS.
• Proven capability to develop modern Cloud Services and partnerships with Cloud Providers.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Ability to stay informed of market trends and adapt strategies accordingly.
• Excellent business, financial, and Cloud FinOps skills.
• Effective planning, prioritization, and delegation skills.
