Job summary

Rotherham College is seeking a Director of Campus for the RNN Group. You will hold total operational and strategic leadership of Rotherham College and University Centre Rotherham, driving educational quality and empowering learners across the region.

You will lead curriculum strategy, oversee HE, apprenticeships and support for vulnerable learners, line manage four Curriculum Managers, and build regional partnerships to hit funding targets and grow the Group’s impact.

• FE leadership track record in curriculum strategy and quality improvement.
• Insight into FE funding mechanics and regional market needs.
• Strong commercial acumen and external relationship experience.
• Evidence of ongoing CPD.

Responsibilities

• Develop forward-thinking curriculum plans responding to skills agendas.
• Oversee campus operations across HE, apprenticeships and vulnerable learners.
• Line manage four Curriculum Managers and mentor staff.

Location; Rotherham College, Rotherham (with occasional travel to other campuses within the RNN Group)

As Director of Campus, you will hold total operational and strategic leadership of Rotherham College and University Centre Rotherham (UCR). You will drive educational quality, inspire dedicated teams, and empower learners across the region to reach their full potential.

What You'll Do

• Drive Strategic Growth: Develop forward-thinking curriculum plans that respond directly to local, regional and national skills and stakeholder agendas.
• Lead Quality & Operations: Oversee day-to-day campus operations, ensuring exceptional standards across Higher Education, apprenticeships, high-needs provision, and vulnerable learner groups.
• Inspire Teams: Line manage and mentor four Curriculum Managers, cultivating a culture of high performance, continuous professional development, and innovation.
• Build Regional Partnerships: Serve as a key ambassador, forging strong ties with civic leaders, local authorities, employers, and community stakeholders.
• Shape Group Vision: Work alongside the Senior Leadership Team to hit funding targets, expand market share, and uphold the Group's core values.

What You'll Bring

• FE Leadership Track Record: Proven success in leading curriculum strategy, quality improvement and curriculum change within Further Education.
• Sector Vision: Clear insight into external FE drivers, funding mechanics, and regional market needs.
• Stakeholder Impact: Strong commercial acumen and a collaborative approach to external relationship building.
• Key Qualifications:
  • Degree (or equivalent relevant vocational qualification)
  • Recognised Teaching Qualification at level 5 or higher
  • Level 2 (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development (CPD)

Department Info

You will report directly to the Vice Principal - Curriculum and play a crucial role in achieving corporate objectives as a member of the Senior Leadership Team. You will be responsible for the line management of four Curriculum Managers and work closely with other Directors and senior leaders across the Group.
