? Director/Senior Director, Business Development – Remote | Global CDMO | Small Molecule APIs

Are you a strategic dealmaker with a passion for chemistry and a proven track record in the CDMO space? Join a leading global CDMO partner delivering high-quality small molecule API services to innovators worldwide.

We’re looking for a Director/Senior Director of Business Development to drive growth, build partnerships, and expand our client base across across biotechs in the UK and EU. This is a remote-based role with a world leading company.

? About the Role:

As a key member of the commercial leadership team, you will:

• Develop and execute business development strategies to drive new API project acquisitions.
• Identify and close opportunities with biotech and pharma partners.
• Manage complex sales cycles from first contact through contract negotiations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with technical and operational teams to align customer needs with our capabilities.

What You Bring:

• 5–10+ years of business development experience in the CDMO space.
• Strong knowledge of small molecule API development and manufacturing.
• Background in chemistry or a related scientific discipline (BSc, MSc, or PhD preferred).
• Proven ability to lead complex client relationships and long sales cycles.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment and across time zones.
