This is an exciting opportunity to join the distinctive, friendly and growing Aston Law School as Director of Aston Law Clinic. Aston Law School, a department of the School of Law and Social Sciences, aims to be a distinctive law school that combines academic rigour with practical insight, for ‘future ready’ law graduates. We do so as The Guardian’s University of the Year 2020, with Gold in the Teaching Excellence Framework, Gold in Athena Swan, and as one of the leading universities for entrepreneurship and social mobility.

We are committed to delivering a distinctive undergraduate programme that meets the requirements of twenty-first-century employers. Our programme therefore teaches a combination of ‘traditional’ law subjects alongside innovative subjects that provide the academic grounding for skills and attributes of modern lawyers (for example, the future of the law and legal project management). Our strategic growth involves the ongoing development of our Law Clinic which currently provides opportunities for our Law students to gain experience of advising clients.

In particular, we are looking for a legal academic or practitioner, with experience of working either in legal practice or in a university setting, to join us as Director of Aston Law Clinic.

If you are interested in joining our friendly and vibrant community, we would like to hear from you!
