Job description

The Director of Advocacy and Impact will play a central role in delivering our mission to transform outcomes for everyone affected by ovarian cancer. This is a senior leadership role reporting into the Chief Executive with responsibility for our external affairs and policy work, the services and programmes we deliver, and how we evaluate and improve our impact. This role is highly visible internally and externally, and will be a key voice for the charity, building influential partnerships across a range of stakeholder groups and shaping our direction, culture and performance as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.

What we’re looking for:

  • A motivated, ambitious and results-driven leader with senior experience of working in health/cancer.
  • Someone who is passionate about effective impact measurement, and ensuring that charities deliver what their beneficiaries need in the best possible way.
  • A strategic thinker who is able to weave together multidisciplinary strands of work into a coherent plan to drive change, and who can lead the achievement of our long term goals with focus, while ensuring that we meet day to day needs for our community.
  • A compelling communicator who can influence a range of stakeholders.
  • A collaborative and credible organisational and team leader who is able to contribute effectively at SLT level as well as effectively managing, motivating and developing their teams.

This is a permanent, full time role.We currently offer a hybrid-working model. This means you may usually work from your home or remote location, but are expected to attend meetings and pay for your own travel to the office in Angel, London when required.
