Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Director of Midwifery and Perinatal Care to lead maternity and perinatal services across the NWUHG Group. The role provides strategic and professional leadership to improve quality, safety, outcomes and experiences for women, babies and families.

Qualifications

• Registered midwife with NMC, master’s level qualification or equivalent.
• Experience as Director or Head of Midwifery with leadership in governance, quality and safety.
• Strong track record in cross-organisational change and maternity service transformation.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and professional leadership for maternity and perinatal care across the NWUHG Group.
• Lead transformation, service improvement and delivery of national maternity priorities.
• Provide assurance on quality, safety, governance, risk and regulatory compliance.
• Champion co-production with women, babies, families and marginalised communities.
• Develop capable and inclusive midwifery leadership, workforce and succession pipelines.
• Build partnerships across organisational boundaries and represent the Group in forums.
• Promote innovation, research, education, value for money and spread of best practice.
