Citi London is seeking an experienced Head of Markets Finance Desk Technology to lead and transform our finance technology platforms. You will drive modernization, set AI engineering strategy, and guide global development teams to higher standards of software quality and delivery speed.

The role requires deep technical depth in Java and distributed systems, with a track record of leading large teams and delivering complex projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Strong track record leading software engineering teams and delivering large-scale platforms.
• Experience with fixed income or finance tech is a plus, especially modernization initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of software engineers to engineering excellence.
• Drive modernization and transformation of core financing technology platforms (booking, settlements, liquidity, risk).
• Own architecture and design of enterprise applications, focusing on distributed, scalable systems.
