Rocket Lab is looking for a Director of Infrastructure Programs to lead critical operations at their Glasgow facility. This role involves overseeing large-scale IT infrastructure projects, managing a team, and ensuring program success through effective project management and stakeholder collaboration. Candidates should have extensive experience in program management within the space or defence industries, alongside strong leadership and communication abilities.
Through Spire Space Services, customers build and operate their own satellite constellations on top of Spire’s proven satellite, ground, and web infrastructure. As Director Infrastructure Programs you will be instrumental in driving Spire’s next-Gen Operations & Technology software stack for both our customer projects as well as our own constellation.
We are looking for senior Program Managers with experience in managing large-scale IT infrastructure programs, ideally within Space, Defence or similar industries. You will be responsible for directly driving large-scale programs as well as managing a small team of Program Managers.
You will be responsible for all aspects of program management from planning through execution and monitoring, to program completion, including a focus on timely delivery, budgets, resource allocation and management, and scope management. You will directly collaborate with several engineering teams and other technical experts who drive innovation on both Hardware & Software fronts.
The successful candidate will work with a variety of stakeholders to ensure deliverables and milestones are met within scope and budget and manage dependencies between a large number of teams and projects. This role will work across several departments to ensure aspects of various programs are compatible with resources to fulfil program requirements.
