Main Function of the role:

The main function of the role is to provide leadership, investment execution capability and manage the risk, controls and processes within the investment function. The individual will also contribute to investment related aspects of product development, marketing as well as have team management responsibilities.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Senior contribution across transaction origination & execution

• Design and implementation of high-quality deal execution processes with appropriate risk and controls framework

• Oversight of all portfolio-level modelling/controls/valuation models

• Supporting other business activities such as board roles on specific assets and contributing to marketing and fundraising campaigns

• Collaborate with other Directors to maximize impact and develop the team (AD level below), while supporting the Senior Leadership team

• Develop industry relationships with vendors, partners, advisors, and key stakeholders to add value

• Support execution of ad-hoc projects assigned by the Co-Heads of Infrastructure

• Line management responsibilities for team members

• Coordinate and produce marketing materials for fundraising

• Adhere to FCA’s Conduct Rules and maintain a culture compliant with FCA and Federated Hermes’ ethical standards

• Ensure all obligations as a Certified person are fulfilled

Minimum knowledge & experience:

• Extensive experience as a principal within an infrastructure investment firm or significant infrastructure industry experience

• Proven deal origination and execution track record from inception to close

• Deep sector knowledge, especially in renewables/energy generation/transition sectors

• Ability to assess opportunities strategically and commercially

• Experience managing diverse stakeholders including industry, advisors, regulators
