Job summary

You will partner with Oncology R&D across discovery and regulatory toxicology, shaping safety assessments, and contributing to IND/CTA filings while mentoring rising toxicologists.

Qualifications

• DABT or PhD in toxicology or immunology with several years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• A proven track record delivering multiple toxicology programs supporting IND/CTA filings.
• High level of knowledge in designing toxicology strategies and risk assessment for IO therapeutics.
• Ability to coordinate tasks across multiple projects and geographies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal- and influencing skills.
• Commitment to inclusion and diversity in AstraZeneca’s environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver globally acceptable toxicological packages to predict, assess and mitigate safety risks.
• Develop and implement innovative solutions to combine regulatory toxicology with new science and technologies.
• Influence project strategy and communicate risk assessments to governance bodies and health authorities.
• Deliver quality non-clinical summaries and contribute to regulatory submissions for IO projects.
• Maintain and expand expertise in regulatory standards and preclinical safety for IO therapies.
• Drive Oncology Safety science through collaborations, publications, and leadership.
• Mentor and guide emerging toxicologists and support career growth.
