As a London-based member of the OMERS Worldwide HR team, you will act as the European & APAC HR Business Partner to Oxford Properties, the real estate arm of OMERS. Oxford is a leading global real estate investor, developer, and manager. Your central focus is on Oxford, but you will also be the regional HRBP for senior leaders of all asset classes in London, collaborating with HRBPs based in Toronto.

The Oxford business is arranged by sector strategies, creating accountability, clear reporting lines, and fostering deep sector knowledge, supported by corporate business partners in the Region and Toronto across GF&S, Legal, and Corporate Affairs & Technology. You will be a key member of the European leadership team, partnering with senior business leaders to develop and execute HR strategies and programs that enable the achievement of business objectives while aligning with HR team imperatives.

Your leader will be located in Toronto, and you will be part of a global HRBP team. You will provide strategic advice to senior leadership and support talent programs such as talent management, succession planning, and resource planning, along with other talent initiatives.

Accountabilities:

  • Partner with business leaders in creating and executing business strategies focused on talent and people initiatives.
  • Build organizational capability by influencing strategy, culture, practices, and behavior.
  • Assess and respond to complex situations, providing strategic and innovative solutions.
  • Advise senior leaders on HR functions including organization design, workforce strategy, succession planning, and talent planning.
  • Support and promote organizational culture and values.
  • Drive talent management processes, including talent review and succession planning.
  • Collaborate effectively with partners and colleagues to drive continuous improvement.
  • Build trust through data-driven insights, delivering results, and influencing others.
  • Lead within the HR function, promoting transparency, communication, and collaboration.
  • Participate in leadership meetings, townhalls, and offsites.

Skills & Experience:

  • 7-10 years of progressive HR experience across multiple disciplines.
  • Strong business acumen, with experience in the same industry.
  • Experience with international offices is an asset.
  • Ability to diagnose issues and generate solutions.
  • Constructive challenge of the status quo with a consultative approach.
  • Leadership, coaching, conflict resolution, and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with data-driven decision-making ability.
  • Organizational agility and confidence working with employees at all levels.
