Job description

We have an excellent opportunity for a Director, HR Business Partner to join our Global HR Team. This is a permanent role based in London or Glasgow.

This role is crucial in designing and implementing the people strategy for group shared technology, acting as a trusted advisor to the tech executive committee, and enhancing colleague performance and customer experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Partnering to deliver the operating model and promoting best OD and OE practices.
  • Supporting leadership on strategy and people issues, including cultural trends and senior ER matters.
  • Leading HR thought leadership within the HRBP team and broader HR functions.
  • Developing initiatives that maximize individual and business performance, with experience in technology partnerships, organizational design, workforce planning, agile methodologies, and transformation.

Purpose of the role

Partner with senior HR leaders to develop and execute a people strategy aligned with business goals.

Accountabilities

  • Design and implement the people strategy, leveraging insights to improve performance.
  • Collaborate across functions to deliver HR initiatives.
  • Advise senior leaders on people-related issues, including organizational effectiveness and talent management.

Director Expectations

  • Manage a business function, contribute to strategic initiatives, and influence policies.
  • Lead teams or projects, act as a technical expert, and mentor less experienced staff.
  • Provide strategic advice to senior management and influence decisions.
  • Oversee resourcing, budgeting, and policy development.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and external stakeholder engagement.
  • Maintain industry and sector knowledge, and apply analytical skills to complex situations.
  • Exercise strategic decision-making authority and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Represent the function externally as needed.
