Director - Head of Infrastructure Management for Enterprise Technology

The Head of Infrastructure Management for Enterprise Technology reports to the Engineering & Architecture Lead and is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within their field. They contribute to the company's strategic direction by applying their expertise to their role and the business. Recognized as a technical authority in their area, they require basic commercial awareness. Multiple individuals within the business may possess similar subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are essential for guiding, influencing, and convincing colleagues across different areas and occasionally external customers. Their work has a significant impact on their area through complex deliverables, providing advice and counsel related to technology or business operations. Their work influences an entire area, ultimately affecting the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function or job family.

Responsibilities:

• Oversees a team of Infrastructure Engineers, ensuring effective management and coordination of infrastructure efforts.
• Collaborates with Solution Architects and Engineering Managers to understand infrastructure requirements based on the Book of Work.
• Proactively monitors and manages costs globally, considering all application components including software licenses, and suggests alternatives in partnership with Solution Architecture to effectively manage on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
• Works with Production Support, Engineering, and other stakeholders to identify and remediate infrastructure issues globally.
• Collaborates with Solution Architects and Engineering Managers to forecast future infrastructure needs.
• Reviews overall capacity planning based on current usage and future requirements.
• Engages with Citi Technology Infrastructure (CTI) to remediate End of Vendor Support (EOVS) hardware.

Qualifications:

• 15+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with various types of infrastructure deployment options on-premises.
• Knowledge and proven experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred, GCP or Azure acceptable); cloud certifications required.
• Managerial experience in creating business cases and conducting technology evaluations.
• Ability to manage multiple activities and adapt to changing priorities in a complex environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to develop partnerships and influence multiple stakeholders effectively.
• Capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
• Self-starter with initiative and quick learning ability.
• Methodical with keen attention to detail.
