This role reports to the head of Global Sales for Certara Software. You will build and maintain a thorough understanding of our software portfolios, develop and execute a Go-to-Market (GTM) plan, and work closely with our sales team to manage and grow existing business through direct sales, as well as leveraging other Certara divisions and strategic partners. Industry knowledge including the competitive landscape and solution linkage is essential to grow and scale these portfolios.

This position requires strong initiative, self-motivation, and collaborative skills. The ideal candidate will possess extensive industry knowledge, lead a team of zone-specific Portfolio Account Managers (PAM), and Business Development Representatives (BDRs).

You will develop, coordinate, and implement GTM plans aimed at increasing existing business and creating new opportunities through New Product Introduction (NPI). You should be aware of organizational growth initiatives in the life sciences market and target customer segments, with a focus on exceeding customer expectations. Ultimately, you will be responsible for global bookings and value creation for the software portfolios.

Responsibilities
  1. Establish NPI and GTM plans for growth of the D360 and SEND Explorer software portfolios.
  2. Grow sales by developing sales enablement collateral to help our sales team initiate client contacts, generate leads, and follow up on leads.
  3. Identify and pursue new customer segments within the life sciences industry for these portfolios.
  4. Develop client-specific solution presentations and contribute to RFP responses and proposals, formulating winning strategies based on client knowledge.
  5. Create outbound prospecting messages via email, text, and calls for BDRs to meet KPIs.
  6. Collaborate with marketing to develop inbound lead-generation strategies for revenue growth.
  7. Participate in trade shows and conferences, setting up client meetings and lead generation activities.
  8. Meet or exceed sales quotas for the portfolios on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  9. Follow Certara’s processes for working with Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs).
Qualifications

  4. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
  5. Ability to work effectively in a high-energy team environment.
  6. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  7. A proven track record of high sales performance in a competitive market.
  8. Fluent in English.
  9. Experience leading a team of commercial representatives.
Values
  • High professionalism, embodying transparency, authenticity, collaboration, respect, and accountability.
  • A growth mindset and a commitment to continuous learning.
