A highly respected professional services firm is hiring a Director to join their growing Financial Services Accounting & Corporate Reporting Advisory team. This is a senior leadership role, ideally suited to a technically strong individual with extensive experience in the insurance sector and a background in delivering high-quality advisory services to financial institutions.

This is a high-impact role supporting the team leader in driving delivery excellence and executing the team’s growth strategy. You will work closely with C-suite stakeholders, guide multidisciplinary teams, and lead on complex accounting and corporate reporting challenges.

What You’ll Do:

  • Take ownership of advisory engagements including IFRS 9, 16, and 17 implementations, transition between reporting frameworks, ESG and sustainability reporting, financial instruments, and group restructuring.
  • Operate as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, including CFOs and audit committees.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary project teams across accounting, actuarial, tax, valuations, digital and M&A advisory services.
  • Play a key role in business development—scoping, winning and delivering new opportunities, and strengthening client relationships.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on technical accounting and regulatory developments.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, building capability and succession within the team.
  • Step in for the service line leader as needed, supporting both day-to-day operations and long-term strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure delivery aligns with quality, risk, and ethical standards under ISQM 1.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in delivering complex accounting and reporting advisory projects within financial services, ideally with a strong insurance focus.
  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP, and Companies Act requirements.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to assess and manage risk while driving profitability.
  • Experience engaging with senior executives and influencing high-stakes decisions.
  • Strong communication skills—written, verbal, and presentation.
  • Demonstrable success in business development and client growth.
  • Commitment to leadership, inclusion, team development, and wellbeing.

Why Join?

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a highly credible, forward-thinking advisory team within a firm known for quality, agility, and long-term client partnerships. You’ll be recognised for who you are, have the autonomy to lead strategically significant work, and access a clearly structured pathway for career progression.

The firm supports hybrid working, encourages cross-functional collaboration, and actively invests in people development and innovation. You’ll be joining a culture where impact, inclusion, and
