Overview:

Sentara Health is now hiring a Full-Time Director of Finance (Norfolk).

Hours: Monday-Friday, Dayshift.

Position Overview

The Director of Finance (Sentara Leigh) will collaborate with the executive team at Sentara Leigh Hospital, including the hospital president, CMO, and Vice President of Operations.

This role requires hospital finance expertise. The person will have system-wide responsibilities for neuro, ortho, and other departments. Key qualities include relationship building and aligning with the hospital mission while providing excellent customer service to the executive team.

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
Certification/Licensure
  • Certified Public Accountant (preferred).
Experience
  • Previous leadership experience.
  • 2 years in healthcare.
  • 5 years in finance.

About Sentara Leigh Hospital

Located in Norfolk, VA, Sentara Leigh Hospital is a 274-bed acute care facility established in 1903, relocated in 1977, and renovated in 2016. It features two new patient towers, a spacious atrium, and a multi-story parking garage. The hospital offers specialized orthopedic care, is a recognized Primary Stroke Center, Magnet-designated for nursing excellence, and provides comprehensive services including heart, vascular, maternity, and general surgery care. It also hosts the region's only 24-hour hyperbaric oxygen program to assist in healing various conditions.
