Job summary

Live Nation in London is seeking a Senior Event Ticketing Manager to lead the ticketing function for large-scale concerts and festivals. You will manage the ticketing team, coordinate with promoters, venues and agents, and oversee on-site operations at major events.

You will drive inventory optimisation, reporting and reconciliation, while ensuring revenue targets and service levels are met across all sales channels.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in live event ticketing within promoter environment.
  • Experience managing ticketing for arena/stadium and festival events.
  • Strong numeracy and Excel skills for data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication up to executive level.
  • Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder relationship management.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with promoters, venues, ticket agents to manage Live Nation ticketing for concerts.
  • Prepare events for onsale: manifests, seating plans, pricing, presales and holds.
  • Administer events in HALO and maximise ticket sales through inventory control.
  • Produce event sales forecasts, updates, charts and reconciliations.
  • Work on-site at major events; oversee Box Office operations evenings/weekends.
  • Provide line management of Event Ticketing Managers; coaching and reviews.
  • Identify process improvements to streamline operations across the team.

Job Summary

Company: Live Nation Department: Ticketing Location: Farringdon, London Reports to: VP Ticketing Working Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week plus evenings/weekends as required Contract type: Permanent

Role Description

The role will work with the VP and SVP of Ticketing on the overall support provided by the Ticketing team to the Live Nation Promoter Division. This includes ensuring that all events are ticketed as efficiently as possible, in terms of effective inventory management; optimising ticket sales through all sales channels; regular and accurate reporting and reconciliation; and event day box offices services. In addition, the Director will manage ticketing for a range of Live Nation’s events, as well leading a team of Event Ticketing Managers.

Competencies / Skills / Knowledge / Experience
  • Previous management experience within a ticketing team preferably for a promoter
  • Proven experience of live event ticketing gained in a promoter environment up to and including stadium and festival level
  • Adept in using ticketing systems, specifically reporting functions
  • Proven commercial acumen within the promoter ticketing environment
  • Demonstrates leaderships qualities and proven relationship management capabilities with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent numeracy skills with exceptional attention to detail and proficiency in using Excel at intermediate or above level
  • Excellent literacy skills with a proven ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, with colleagues up to Executive board-level

The role includes
  • Liaise with promoters, venues, ticket agents and other stakeholders to advise on and manage the ticketing for Live Nation concerts including Arena, Stadium and Festivals when applicable.
  • Prepare events for onsale by confirming and configuring event details including: manifests, seating plans, price structures; marketing partner, artist / fan club, record label and other presales; internal, VIP, ticket agent and other holds and allocations; and booking fees, ticket stock and text.
  • Administer events in HALO (our in-house event operating system) and maximise ticket sales by monitoring and analysing sales to proactively manage inventory, ticket agents and allocations.
  • Produce event sales forecasts, updates, charts and other reports including final reconciliations.
  • Work on-site at Major Events as required; including weekends and evenings and overseeing and/or staffing Box Office operations.
  • Process internal ticket orders including artist management and label requests; raising invoice requisitions as appropriate.
  • Provide effective Line management of Event Ticketing Managers; including performance reviews, coaching and day to day support.
  • Proactively identifying areas for process improvement in daily tasks and recommend actionable solutions to streamline operations across the Event Ticketing Team.
  • Collaborate with Ticketing colleagues on show assigning and general workload management of the Event Ticketing team.
  • Joint deputy responsibilities for VP of ticketing in their absence and provide other support as and when required.
  • Ad hoc duties as required by management.
