Job summary

Live Nation Entertainment is seeking an accomplished Director of Ticketing to lead the Ticketing team within the Promoter Division from our London office. You will collaborate with the VP and SVP to optimise inventory, drive sales across channels, and deliver timely reporting and reconciliations.

You will manage a team of Event Ticketing Managers, oversee on-site box office operations at major events, and drive continuous improvements in ticketing processes while maintaining excellent

Qualifications

  • Experience managing a ticketing team within a promoter environment.
  • Proven live event ticketing experience up to stadium/festival level.
  • Adept in using ticketing systems and reporting functions.
  • Strong commercial acumen within promoter ticketing.
  • Proven leadership and relationship management at executive level.
  • Excellent numeracy and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication to executive level.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with promoters, venues and agents to manage the ticketing for Live Nation events.
  • Prepare onsale details including manifests, seating plans, price structures and holds.
  • Administer events in HALO and maximise ticket sales.
  • Produce sales forecasts, updates and reconciliations.
  • Work on-site at major events including weekends and evenings.
  • Provide line management of Event Ticketing Managers.
  • Identify process improvements across the Ticketing team.
  • Collaborate on show assignment and workload management.
  • Deputise for VP of Ticketing when required.
  • Ad hoc duties as required.

Role Description

The role will work with the VP and SVP of Ticketing on the overall support provided by the Ticketing team to the Live Nation Promoter Division. This includes ensuring that all events are ticketed as efficiently as possible, in terms of effective inventory management; optimising ticket sales through all sales channels; regular and accurate reporting and reconciliation; and event day box offices services.

In addition, the Director will manage ticketing for a range of Live Nation’s events, as well leading a team of Event Ticketing Managers.

Competencies / Skills / Knowledge / Experience
  • Previous management experience within a ticketing team preferably for a promoter
  • Proven experience of live event ticketing gained in a promoter environment up to and including stadium and festival level
  • Adept in using ticketing systems, specifically reporting functions
  • Proven commercial acumen within the promoter ticketing environment
  • Demonstrates leaderships qualities and proven relationship management capabilities with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent numeracy skills with exceptional attention to detail and proficiency in using Excel at intermediate or above level
  • Excellent literacy skills with a proven ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, with colleagues up to Executive board-level

What The Role Includes
  • Liaise with promoters, venues, ticket agents and other stakeholders to advise on and manage the ticketing for Live Nation concerts including Arena, Stadium and Festivals when applicable.
  • Prepare events for onsale by confirming and configuring event details including: manifests, seating plans, price structures; marketing partner, artist / fan club, record label and other presales; internal, VIP, ticket agent and other holds and allocations; and booking fees, ticket stock and text.
  • Administer events in HALO (our in-house event operating system) and maximise ticket sales by monitoring and analysing sales to proactively manage inventory, ticket agents and allocations
  • Produce event sales forecasts, updates, charts and other reports including final reconciliations
  • Work on-site at Major Events as required; including weekends and evenings and overseeing and/or staffing Box Office operations
  • Process internal ticket orders including artist management and label requests; raising invoice requisitions as appropriate
  • Provide effective Line management of Event Ticketing Managers; including performance reviews, coaching and day to day support
  • Proactively identifying areas for process improvement in daily tasks and recommend actionable solutions to streamline operations across the Event Ticketing Team
  • Collaborate with Ticketing colleagues on show assigning and general workload management of the Event Ticketing team
  • Joint deputy responsibilities for VP of ticketing in their absence and provide other support as and when required
  • Ad hoc duties as required by management.
