Your role

In our Energy Transition & Utilities practice, we seek an experienced senior leader to lead major advisory and transformation projects in the Energy Networks Sector. Our clients manage electricity and gas grids, ensuring safe, reliable energy delivery. They play a key role in achieving net zero, investing in networks supporting renewable energy, electric vehicles, and green gases.

With our extensive utilities experience, strategic skills, technological understanding, and collaborative approach, we have a strong track record in delivering advanced consulting services. As Vice President, you will set strategic direction, nurture client relationships, exemplify our values, and mentor junior staff. You will also contribute to business growth and your personal development through activities like:

1. Business Development: Leading proposals, bids, client pitches, and hosting at events.
2. Internal Initiatives: Campaigns, think-tanks, whitepapers, practice development, and team activities.
3. Learning & Development: Training, certifications, and career support.

Your profile

We’re looking for someone with:

• Extensive consulting experience in the Utilities sector, especially Energy Networks, including electricity and gas transmission and distribution.
• Experience in a major consulting firm or industry with consulting background.
• Proven business development skills, generating at least £2m annually.
• Ability to succeed in a matrix organization, securing support from peers.
• Expertise in advisory, consulting, and transformation services, including:
• Corporate strategy, business planning, regulatory advice
• Business and IT operating models, restructuring, performance improvement
• Large-scale transformation, system operation, asset management, infrastructure, customer, and workforce transformation
• Digital solutions like IoT, analytics, automation, energy management, digital twin, BIM
