Job description

Reporting to the VP, Global Pricing & Analysis, the Director, EMEA Pricing and Packaging Strategy and Analysis will lead the development and execution of pricing and packaging strategies across diverse EMEA streaming markets. This role is crucial for supporting HBO Max's growth and financial targets in the region. The Director will shape market-specific pricing strategies, lead strategic initiatives, and serve as a key partner to senior stakeholders. The position requires a highly analytical, strategic, and collaborative leader capable of navigating complex ecosystems, regulatory environments, and consumer behaviors to drive revenue and subscriber growth. Specific country assignments will be determined based on business needs, market launch timelines, and team capacity. The Director will manage both mature and emerging markets, each with unique considerations.

Your Role Accountabilities
  1. Develop business cases for EMEA Pricing and Packaging initiatives to optimize subscriber growth, revenue, and enterprise value across markets.
  2. Collaborate with local and regional teams to gather inputs, lead analyses, and drive decision-making for market launches and existing markets.
  3. Lead strategic pricing initiatives, including competitive assessments, distribution assessments, and monetization models.
  4. Partner with Data Analytics and Finance to model and evaluate impacts of pricing decisions, ensuring alignment with growth targets.
  5. Support cross-functional teams with data-driven pricing recommendations and communicate key assumptions to senior stakeholders.
  6. Develop regional pricing frameworks reflecting local market dynamics while aligning with global strategy.
  7. Improve operational efficiency in pricing analyses, data quality, and model enhancements.
  8. Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure pricing decisions support broader initiatives.

Qualifications include significant experience in pricing strategy, business analysis, investment banking, finance, or management consulting, preferably within media, technology, or DTC subscription industries. Proven leadership across multiple international markets, strong analytical skills, success in influencing senior stakeholders, deep understanding of subscription economics, team management experience, advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, and fluency in English are required. This role is onsite, with the possibility of changes based on business needs.
