Job description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of EMEA Field Marketing to join our team. Based out of our London office, this hybrid role will oversee the strategic and operational aspects of field marketing across the EMEA region, including the UK & Ireland (UKI), Middle East & Africa (MEA), Central Europe (CE), and the Nordics. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a talented team of field marketers, driving regional marketing initiatives, and ensuring alignment with global marketing strategies to support Optimizely's growth objectives.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and execute the EMEA field marketing strategy in alignment with global marketing objectives and regional business goals.
    • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the field marketing teams across UKI, MEA, CE, and Nordics.
  2. Team Management:
    • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of field marketing professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
    • Set clear goals and objectives, monitor performance, and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities.
  3. Market Insights:
    • Gain deep insights into regional markets, customer needs, and the competitive landscape to inform marketing strategies.
    • Collaborate with sales and product teams to identify market opportunities and develop targeted marketing initiatives.
  4. Budget Management:
    • Manage the regional field marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
    • Track, analyze, and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, adjusting strategies as needed to achieve targets.
  5. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the global marketing team to ensure alignment and integration of regional activities with overall marketing plans.
    • Collaborate with sales, product, and customer success teams to drive lead generation and customer engagement.
  6. Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including regional sales leaders, partners, and customers.
    • Represent Optimizely at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings to promote the brand and establish thought leadership.
Knowledge and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in field marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies in the EMEA region.
  • Strong understanding of regional markets and cultural nuances within UKI, MEA, CE, and the Nordics.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with marketing analytics and reporting.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
