About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Liverpool FC team as Director, Creative Marketing. The role will be part of a newly shaped LFC marketing team aimed at driving awareness, desire, conversion, and retention across various campaigns, sales channels, and club products in the UK and globally. Reporting to the Vice President, Marketing, this position will lead how LFC presents itself from a brand, campaign, and product content perspective.

The Director, Creative Marketing manages the brand, marketing content, graphic design, and VM functions to ensure visual presentation aligns with strategic objectives. The role involves providing insights, data, and recommendations to stakeholders regularly.

You will oversee daily management and reporting of content, brand, design, and visual budgets, supporting budget planning and ensuring value for money and ROI.

What will you be doing?
  1. Being the primary stakeholder for Liverpool FC's visual identity, setting the tone for brand evolution, working across departments and with external partners to ensure alignment with guidelines and brand vision.
  2. Managing the marketing content budget, including creative, brand development, eCommerce content, store visuals, and graphic design expenditures, with regular reporting and budget planning support.
  3. Overseeing the delivery of marketing campaign content, graphic design, eCommerce PDP content, and store visuals.
  4. Setting workflow processes for the content studio, providing tasks and timelines to content and design managers.
  5. Project managing large-scale creative projects.
  6. Partnering with marketing and research teams to ensure content is insight-driven and optimized for channels and audiences.
  7. Collaborating with product, sales, and marketing channels to understand audience needs and success metrics.
  8. Supporting the design team in delivering marketing assets, ensuring operational efficiency and resource availability.
  9. Owning the brand framework, ensuring consistency and relevancy across channels, and evolving it as needed.
  10. Working with partnership management to ensure partner content is optimized and aligned with broader objectives.
  11. Promoting LFC marketing internally and externally, fostering cross-club collaboration, and sharing success stories.
  12. Leading team meetings, conducting performance reviews, and developing PDPs for team development.
Who are we looking for?

Successful candidates will have proven experience in creative marketing within retail, sport, or brand sectors, including people management and agency experience with direct-to-consumer campaigns. Skills should include project management, multi-channel content creation, understanding customer journeys, and stakeholder management. Leadership qualities such as inspiring, motivating, and upskilling teams are essential. Budget management, strategic planning, and presentation skills are also required. The role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is flexible with their schedule.
