THE WORK:

The Corporate Development team is responsible for decisions around deploying capital to grow the company through strategic investments and acquisitions across cryptocurrency, fintech, and software. We are looking to add an impactful professional who can help the team execute this global mandate.

The ideal candidate has a passion for the cryptocurrency industry, is meticulous in their analysis, methodical, creative, and thorough in their problem-solving approach, and can build and grow relationships with internal and external partners.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

1. Develop unique perspectives on key categories and companies in the crypto ecosystem, curate related research and market intelligence, identify critical shifts and evolving trends, and communicate their implications to stay at the forefront of new developments.
2. Engage with the broader organization (product, engineering, marketing, etc.) to qualify opportunities and refine our areas of strategic interest.
3. Develop perspectives on key competitors, their strengths and weaknesses, and implications for our business.
4. Lead and support the execution of acquisitions by defining needs, developing a market landscape with target companies, engaging prospects, developing business cases, conducting due diligence, executing deals, and supporting integration in partnership with various departments at Ripple.
5. Establish strong external relationships within the crypto and blockchain community of entrepreneurs and investors.
6. Source new opportunities and manage the pipeline.
7. Develop key internal processes and artifacts for the corporate development function, including data-driven acquisition performance and backtesting against investment theses.
8. Conduct ad-hoc qualitative and quantitative analyses for planning strategy, investing, and integration efforts.
9. Partner with Business Development to forge alliances that promote Ripple’s products and services.
10. Manage opportunities from inception to completion, leading sourcing, due diligence, and execution processes.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

• 8+ years in corporate development or related fields such as investment banking, management consulting (preferably in corporate finance), or venture capital.
• Experience developing and implementing deal workflows and post-deal integrations.
• Proven ability to manage multiple deals through all phases concurrently.
• Experience building and leading teams.
• Strong financial modeling skills, including market data models, three-statement analysis, and valuation.
• Excellent communication skills—verbal, written, and presentation.
• Comfort operating in unstructured environments and devising creative deal structures.
• Strong understanding of blockchain technology and traditional financial services.
• High attention to detail.
• Proactive, upbeat, and collaborative attitude.
