Our client, a global organisation with a presence in over 35 countries, is looking for a Senior F, P&A professional to join its finance function at Director level – Director F, P&A – Commercial. This role is suitable for a candidate with exposure to working in a large organisation in a commercial finance role, with a strong background in F, P&A and reporting. It offers the flexibility of working from home or utilizing offices in Manchester.

The candidate should have experience in a manufacturing background and working in the commercial area of the business – including pricing, contracts, quotations, margins, and profit. Industries such as automotive or aerospace are preferred, especially manufacturing areas dealing with many components.

The Key Requirements

• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with C-Suite executives in the UK and internationally
• Experience with SAP and Power BI is advantageous
• Advanced Excel skills
• Extensive background in F, P & A, using data to drive business performance
• Understanding of large manufacturing operations, with industries like automotive and aerospace being relevant
• Qualified accountant (CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, etc.)
• Proficiency in analyzing large data sets and creating visual data reports

Role Responsibilities

• Supporting financial forecasting, budgeting, detailed analysis, and reporting, including presenting findings to senior leadership
• Assisting Commercial Directors with orders outlook, LBE, actuals, and initiatives reporting, including regional follow-ups
• Supporting quotation approval reviews
• Pipeline and variance analysis for month-end and strategic planning
• Analyzing margins, profitability, and customer accounts to inform strategic decisions
• Conducting ad-hoc commercial analyses and process improvements
• Building financial models to assess impacts of drivers
• Evaluating and improving processes for efficiency and automation
