Job Description

Turner & Townsend is a leading management consultancy provider in the Commercial Developer sector. We are looking for an ambitious Director for our Cost Management team who is self-motivated and driven. In this key position, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to the team, embedding and promoting the values of Turner & Townsend.

Key Responsibilities:

  4. Maintain a detailed understanding of the market, acting as a brand ambassador and creating a pipeline of opportunity.
  5. Assist with feasibility studies and procurement reports.
  6. Estimate and plan costs, presenting the final cost plan.
  7. Manage tendering, pre-qualification, tender list, preliminaries, analysis, and reports.
  8. Handle post-contract cost variances and change control.
  9. Conduct cost checks and valuations, ensuring accuracy.
  10. Produce and present monthly post-contract cost reports.
  11. Negotiate and agree on final accounts.
  12. Interface with clients and consultants at all project stages.
  13. Lead the cost management team, ensuring accountability.
  14. Identify new business opportunities with existing clients.
  15. Assist in producing bid documentation.
  16. Improve cost management procedures, templates, and products.
  17. Ensure key information and learnings are input into the internal database.
  18. Identify and refer ideas for process improvement.
  19. Assess commission management quality and efficiency.
Qualifications
  1. 12+ years’ experience in cost management.
  2. Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying.
  3. UK Cost Management experience within the Real Estate/Property sector.
  4. Experience working on larger projects, including new builds and fit-outs.
  5. Exemplary leadership and stakeholder engagement experience.
  6. Excellent communication skills and client-facing abilities.
