Job summary

WSP GL Hearn seeks a Rating professional to deliver bespoke business rates advice for commercial clients across the UK. You will work with the Strategic Growth Director to expand the client base and manage your own caseload, developing relationships and delivering savings through appeals and mitigation.

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of the UK rating market.
• Experience with sector valuations for rating purposes.
• Strong written and spoken communication.
• Entrepreneurial attitude to business development.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Good IT skills: Word, Excel, Outlook; familiarity with Analyse.
• MRICS qualification required.
• Detailed knowledge of rating legislation and case law.
• Good surveying and inspection skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide bespoke business rates advice to commercial clients.
• Collaborate with the Strategic Growth Director to expand the client base nationwide.
• Manage and grow your own client base and caseload with increasing responsibility.
• Develop relationships and implement rates savings via appeals and mitigation.
• Carry out site visits as required for strategic advice.
• Integrate within the wider WSP network and leverage opportunities.
