Pharmalex is seeking a US remote-based Director of Business Development, with a background in Regulatory Affairs and Pharmacovigilance, to increase our commercial presence in the US market.

As a key contributor, you will support the full product portfolio by identifying potential clients, developing leads for new business and cross-selling opportunities, and achieving sales targets:

Roles & Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with group leaders to establish and attain regional sales goals.
  2. Develop and execute detailed strategic sales plans aligned with Cencora Global Consulting Services US goals and corporate sales strategies to ensure growth both short-term and long-term, through creativity and persistence.
  3. Leverage existing relationships to expand accounts.
  4. Sell the entire Cencora PharmaLex portfolio.
  5. Build and maintain rapport with key customers, assess customer needs, and identify new opportunities.
  6. Analyze regional market trends and discover new growth opportunities.
  7. Provide market feedback on trends.
  8. Suggest industry events for the Commercial team to be aware of and participate in.
  9. Represent Cencora PharmaLex at industry events.
  10. Accurately forecast quarterly and annual sales goals.
  11. Translate sales into revenue efficiently.
  12. Maintain diligent records of leads, opportunities, and project status in Salesforce.com.
  13. Suggest new services or product lines and innovative sales techniques to increase customer satisfaction.
  14. Update knowledge of job and product lines through training, reading publications, and maintaining networks.
  15. Support marketing activities related to events.
  16. Provide feedback to leadership regarding market trends and competitive offerings.
  17. Support and drive effective proposals that meet client needs.
  18. Strive for ongoing professional growth by enhancing business skills and industry knowledge.

Experience & Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences or related field.
  • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.

Minimum Skills, Knowledge & Ability Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in life sciences sales, specifically with consulting/services to pharma, biotech, and/or medical device industries.
  • Autonomous, focused, and high-quality work ethic.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a matrix organization.
  • Strong sense of responsibility.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
