Director, Business Development, Fidelity Digital Assets℠

The Role

Fidelity Digital Assets℠ is seeking a Director of Business Development to achieve sales goals by onboarding institutional clients to our enterprise-grade custody and execution services. The position reports to the Head of Business Development, Fidelity Digital Assets℠ Europe. The successful candidate will contribute to the strategic vision and include:

  1. Shaping go-to-market strategies and developing sales channels.
  2. Developing strategies to monetize distribution channels.
  3. Identifying opportunities, prioritizing prospective clients, pipeline development, financial assessment, transaction structuring, and implementation.
  4. Partnering with product and strategy teams for new product ideas.
  5. Representing market and customer voices within the organization.
  6. Building relationships across digital and traditional asset management sectors.
  7. Understanding digital assets' disruptive value and developing thought leadership.
  8. Monitoring market trends, competitor models, industry news, and regulations.
  9. Communicating effectively about finance, cryptoassets, and blockchain to varied audiences.
  10. Fostering a results-driven, contributory environment.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  1. Proven success selling to large institutional asset allocators.
  2. Strong understanding of the EU asset management market; fluency in German and/or French is preferred.
  3. Ability to assess market opportunities, strategize partnerships, and negotiate.
  4. 10+ years of experience as a financial services executive, preferably in the UK/EU.
  5. Knowledge of cryptocurrencies, blockchain, tokenized securities, electronic execution, and custody.
  6. Experience managing client pipelines and driving results collaboratively.
  7. Strong interpersonal skills and customer focus.
  8. Familiarity with CRM and sales materials development.
