Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking an Applied AI ML Director – NLP/LLM and Graphs to lead advanced machine learning efforts within the Machine Learning Centre of Excellence. You will apply NLP, graph analytics, and agentic AI methods to real-world banking problems, collaborating with business, technology, and control partners to productionize solutions.

Qualifications

PhD in a quantitative field or MS with substantial industry research experience.
Strong background in NLP, LLM, graph analytics and DL methods.
Hands-on experience building agentic AI / multi-agent systems in regulated environments.
Ability to design experiments and evaluate model performance aligned with business goals.

Responsibilities

Develop state-of-the-art ML models for NLP, speech analytics, time-series, and recommendations.
Collaborate with Business, Technology, Product teams to deploy solutions into production.
Lead and mentor AI engineers; foster a culture of excellence, innovation and continuous learning.
Drive firm-wide initiatives by developing scalable ML frameworks across business areas.
Research new ML methods through study, conferences, experimentation and knowledge sharing.
