Job summary

JPMorgan Chase's Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) invites applications for an Applied AI ML Director – NLP / LLM and Graphs. This role will apply sophisticated machine learning methods to NLP, graph analytics, speech analytics, time series, reinforcement learning and recommendation systems.

You will collaborate with diverse teams to deploy solutions into production and drive firm-wide initiatives by building large-scale frameworks.

Qualifications

• PhD (or MS with significant research) in a quantitative field.
• Solid NLP, LLM and graph analytics background.
• Hands-on experience building agentic AI / multi-agent systems in regulated environments.
• Ability to design experiments and evaluate metrics aligned with business goals.
• Experience with big data and scalable model training; strong communication to technical and business audiences.
• Scientific thinking; able to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
• Motivated by complex analytical problems; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Create state-of-the-art ML models for NLP, speech, analytics, time-series, or recommendations.
• Collaborate with partner teams to deploy solutions into production.
• Drive firm-wide initiatives by developing large-scale ML frameworks.
• Research new ML methods via independent study, conferences and knowledge sharing.
