You will join our Aviation Airfield department
As our new Director – Airfield Infrastructure, you will be part of our specialist airfield civils team – a group of eight experienced airfield engineers. Our core aviation team is based in Chester, London, and Manchester, but the location is flexible for the right candidate. With a strong future pipeline of civil and military projects, we are expanding the team. The role requires an inquisitive mind, capable of developing innovative and sustainable outcomes to support our clients. There will likely be travel opportunities within the UK and internationally.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will include:

1. Technical leadership, mentorship, and review
2. Airfield infrastructure design at all RIBA stages for traditional and design-and-build procurement
3. Project management
4. Management of project costs and budgets
5. Management of project risks and opportunities
6. Supporting and developing junior staff
7. Supporting business development and work winning

1. Extensive experience leading and delivering airfield infrastructure projects across all RIBA work stages
2. Experience undertaking technical and feasibility studies, including site investigations
3. Experience designing new airfield infrastructure
4. Experience reviewing, assessing, and designing alterations to existing airfield infrastructure
5. Chartered engineer status
6. Experience delivering airfield infrastructure and civil design in accordance with Eurocode and UK Building Regulations
7. Understanding of Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, including the Principal Designer role
8. Potential for succession to the current Airfield Infrastructure Director
