Job description

We are seeking an Internal Sales Executive (also known as a Direct Sales Executive) responsible for achieving new business revenue targets and managing new customer accounts over an 8-week period.

Your primary responsibility will be to meet the company's revenue goals for new business, aligning with the company's strategy regarding customer size, type, and service mix.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identify and develop a personal prospect funnel sufficient to meet new business targets as outlined in DPD's strategic plan.
  • Monitor the performance of new customers to ensure trading aligns with agreed profiles and terms; develop action plans for variances.
  • Facilitate the handover of new accounts to the relevant Account Owner within the first 8 weeks of trade.
  • Support calling potential and existing customers following marketing campaigns.
  • Achieve productivity targets as agreed.
  • Maintain and update all internal systems.

Performance measures include:

  • New Business Revenue and Service Mix against targets.
  • Systems compliance.
  • Prospect Funnel opportunities and reports.
  • Achievement of daily KPIs.

Qualifications and About You:

Successful candidates will have experience in direct sales or similar environments, with a tenacious attitude and drive to succeed in a fast-paced sales setting.

You should possess excellent communication, persuasion, and influencing skills, with a focus on understanding customer needs and securing commitment.
