Job description

We are looking for an Internal Sales Executive (known internally as a Direct Sales Executive) to achieve a new business revenue target and manage new customer accounts over an 8-week period.

The primary responsibility is to meet the company's revenue target for new business, aligned with the company's strategy for customer size, type, and service mix.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identify and develop a prospect funnel sufficient to meet new business targets as per DPD’s strategic plan.
  • Monitor new customer performance, ensure trading aligns with agreed profiles and terms, and implement action plans for variances.
  • Facilitate the handover of new accounts to the relevant Account Owner within the first 8 weeks.
  • Support calling potential and existing customers following marketing campaigns.
  • Achieve productivity targets as agreed.
  • Maintain all internal systems accurately.

Measures of Performance:

  • New Business Revenue and Service Mix against targets.
  • Systems compliance.
  • Prospect Funnel opportunities and reports.
  • Achievement of daily KPIs.

Qualifications & About You:

Successful candidates will have proven success in a direct sales or similar environment, with a tenacious attitude and drive to succeed in a fast-paced sales setting.

You should possess excellent communication, persuasion, and influencing skills, with a strong customer focus to understand needs and secure commitment.
