Job description

Service Care Solutions is partnering with Conwy County Borough Council to recruit a Direct Payments Officer on a temporary basis. Please see the role details below.

Role:

Direct Payments Officer

Salary:

GBP13 to GBP14 per hour (PAYE exclusive) / GBP14-GBP16 per hour (umbrella)

Location:

Conwy

Working:

On-site, 36 hours per week

Contract:

3 months ongoing

Responsibilities:
  • Register new service users to the Direct Payments Scheme, ensuring all processes are completed accurately and within agreed timeframes to facilitate timely payments.
  • Ensure clients receive appropriate funding on time to meet their employer responsibilities, including payroll and staffing obligations.
  • Complete quarterly financial audits of service users' accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies in line with policy and best practice.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of systems, processes, and service delivery models to enhance efficiency and user satisfaction.
  • Ensure all work complies with statutory requirements, including Data Protection legislation, and internal policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, ensuring compliance with audit standards and regulatory expectations.
  • Promote and uphold the organisation's values, supporting the achievement of departmental and corporate objectives.
  • Liaise effectively with internal departments, external agencies, and service users to support a seamless service experience.
