Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for building long-term partnerships? Smurfit Westrock is seeking a dynamic Key Account Director to lead and grow our relationships with major regional accounts across our multi-product portfolio—folding carton, composite tube, and rigid box.

What You’ll Do

As our Key Account Director, you’ll be the face of Smurfit Westrock to our key customers, driving growth, margin improvement, and customer satisfaction. You’ll:

  • Lead strategic account planning and execution to meet annual sales and growth targets.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and manage complex contract negotiations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across customer organisations, influencing key decision-makers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver exceptional service and ensure alignment with customer needs.
  • Provide accurate forecasting and performance reporting using CRM tools.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activity, and customer developments.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience (3–5 years) in Key Account Management, Strategic Sales, or Business Development—ideally in a B2B manufacturing environment.
  • Strong negotiation, influencing, and project management skills.
  • Commercial acumen and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to network and develop a wide range of multi discipline contacts within your key accounts
  • A proactive, organised, and analytical mindset with a drive to succeed.
