Job summary

The U.S. Embassy London is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Worker for our General Services Office, based at the Hendon warehouse.

You will perform practical logistics tasks, move furniture and welcome kits, and support embassy staff and families. Day-to-day duties include loading/unloading with forklifts and trolleys, conducting inventories and safety checks, and assisting with official visits and vehicle operations as required.

Qualifications

• Experience operating forklifts and handling goods.
• Ability to perform inventories and safety inspections.
• Flexibility to escort visitors and support events.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and transport goods using forklifts, trolleys, and other equipment.
• Prepare and deliver welcome kits to new arrivals and assist colleagues settling in.
• Conduct inventories and routine safety inspections to keep the warehouse secure and efficient.
• Serve as an incidental operator of official vehicles.
• Support official visits and events with hands-on logistics assistance.
• Escort visitors and contractors on post.
