Job summary

GEODIS is seeking a junior warehouse operative in the United Kingdom. The role involves loading and unloading trucks, picking orders from sheets, and preparing goods for packing.

You will use a hand-held scanner, store and retrieve items, and maintain a clean, safe workspace in line with SSOW. Applicants should have basic English and maths education, familiarity with modern warehousing practices, good organizational and communication skills, and a valid forklift license.

Qualifications

• Able to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail
• Previous warehouse experience
• Basic knowledge of computer and warehouse management systems
• Must have a valid fork lift license.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading delivery trucks
• Work from an order picking sheet
• Picking orders using a hand-held scanner
• Preparing picked goods for packing
• Put goods away and pick from correct locations
• Maintain clean and safe environment and optimize space
• Follow quality service standards and procedures
• Report damaged or missing goods to warehouse management
• Communicate with managers about daily activities and obstacles
• Adhere to Health and Safety rules and report hazards/incidents
