Job summary

The Church of England in the Diocese of Newcastle is recruiting a fixed term Transformation Team Programme Lead to design and oversee a locally owned Diocesan Vision and Transformation strategy. The role focuses on discernment, engagement with parishes and partner bodies, and coordinating resources for missional renewal.

You will work closely with Diocesan leaders to energise collaboration across diocesan structures, align resources and people, and guide the transformation programme to readiness

Qualifications

• Experience of leading church growth programmes and transformation projects.
• Ability to lead discernment and strategic development in diocesan settings.
• Experience in resourcing communities and energising stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Transformation Programme Team during the capacity funded discernment and design phase.
• Provide high level leadership to engage stakeholders and support senior leaders through discovery and decision making.
• Develop funding and sustainability models to support the diocesan transformation strategy.
