Job summary

Navantia UK invites a skilled Dimensional Control Surveyor to join our Methil facility in Fife Energy Park. You will support spacecraft construction, vessel fabrication, and offshore structures by performing dimensional surveys, setting out, and alignment checks to ensure tight tolerances.

With 2+ years in similar roles, you will interpret drawings, use Total Stations, Theodolites, and AutoCAD, and contribute to continuous improvement while maintaining safety standards on site.

Qualifications

• 2+ years surveying fabricated structures, heavy engineering projects, or vessels.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and CAD models.
• Experience using surveying instruments and dimensional control techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Conducting dimensional surveys and inspections on vessels, structures, components, and assemblies.
• Carrying out precision setting out, alignment, and verification of machinery foundations and fabrications.
• Identifying and recording non-conformances against client specifications.
• Reviewing construction tolerances and recommending process improvements.
• Using surveying equipment including Total Stations, Theodolites, Precision Levels, and AutoCAD.
• Collaborating with engineers, welders, and production teams to maintain quality standards.
• Supporting calibration and maintenance of survey equipment.
• Promoting safe working practices across site activities.
