Job summary

Bilfinger UK is seeking a surveyor with at least 3 years in construction or maintenance, including setting out, surveying and line and level work. You will establish grid systems, survey equipment, and produce as-built reports to support complex projects across multiple sectors.

Joined by a collaborative team, you will attend coordination meetings and assist in aligning equipment and pipework while using Total Station and Navis Works 2024 to ensure client specifications are met.

Qualifications

• Relevant trade skills and ability to work within a large project team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Self-motivated with track record of meeting client deadlines.
• Competent in using Total Station and related software.
• Proficient IT skills including MS Office and project tools.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with construction managers, engineers and site supervision to plan and schedule the survey.
• Survey mechanical equipment and provide as-built reports detailing coordinates and deviations.
• Establish / extend a 3D coordinate grid system based on reference points.
• Attend meetings as required and support alignment of equipment and pipework.

requirements for each tagged item Ensure surveys are carried out in a timely manner to allow release to mechanical tradesEnsure all tagged items to be positioned in accordance with client specifications / tolerancesEnsure QA documentation is signed off when equipment has been positioned in accordance with the aboveCreate dimensional survey reports as requiredAttend Daily Coordination meetings and any other meetings as requiredUse of surveying equipment and associated softwareEstablish / extend a 3D coordinate grid system based on existing reference points.Survey mechanical equipment and provide as build reports detailing design / actual coordinates and deviations. (typically this would be vessel centrelines, supports and various nozzle's)Surveying of Civil plinths & fixings and provide reports.Aid construction by providing design gridlines & elevations throughout each structure as required.Aid construction during the alignment of equipment / pipework.

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction, or maintenance, with at least 2 years of setting out, surveying and line and levelling.
